Decade of the Sun

NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory has been collecting data from our sun for the past Ten years. The SDO had gathered 425 million high-resolution images of the Sun; that equates to about 20 million gigabytes of data. Using multiple instruments, the data and images have been collated and stitched together to create an astonishing and awe inspiring view of our closest star, the Sun.
